Repairs include internal cleaning, preventative maintenance, adjustments to manufacturer specifications and testing. Repaired product ships with test reports.

MidWest Technical uses VERITAPE LTO RDIF readers, allowing technicians to read chip data embedded in the media. The LTO RDIF reader measures the drive's performance; it logs time, serial number and the errors caused by the tape media or the drive and many other things.

The LTO Tape Drive gathers that data and writes that data to the LTO cartridge RDIF chip when the media cartridge is ejected from the drive. We recommend our customers send in their media for tape/drive assessment. This service is free with tape drive repair (limit of 3 tapes) thereafter $3 per media tape fee applies.
